The Land of Enchantment Chapter of Women in Aviation International is a non-profit organization. We are dedicated to the advancement of women and girls in all aspects of aviation and aerospace across the state of New Mexico.
We introduce young girls and women of all ages to aviation and aerospace career opportunities and provide support to those pursuing the profession by offering education, outreach, networking, mentoring and scholarships.
Over the last four years our chapter has awarded over $7,000 in scholarships for aviation degrees, engineering degrees, aviation mechanics certifications, and flight training.
Our membership includes military service members, pilots, astronauts, aircraft mechanics, engineers, air traffic controllers, flight attendants, high school and university students, airport managers, aviation enthusiasts, business owners, educators, journalists, and many others.
You do not have to actively be involved in aviation or aerospace to join.
If you don’t know where to start on your journey you’ve come to the right place. Our members are passionate about what they do, and would love to share their stories and advice.
