Girls in Aviation Day is a free event for girls ages 8-17 with aviation activities, free stuff, guest speakers, and lots of fun!
Girls ages 8-17 are invited to join us at the Land of Enchantment Fly In at Double Eagle II airport in Albuquerque on September 24th for a fun filled day of aviation activities and education. The Fly-In hours are 7am-3pm. The Girls in Aviation Day portion will run from 10am to noon. Registration is required for participation. Use the Eventbrite link at the bottom of this page to register.
***Parents or Guardians are required to remain with the girls for the event and activities. This is for safety reasons due to the event taking place at an airport with an active flight line.***
-Free event for girls 8-17
-Free goody bag for each girl who participates with Aviation for Girls magazine and much more
-Held at Land of Enchantment Fly In at Double Eagle II airport in Albuquerque (free admission and parking)
-Aviation scavenger hunt
-Positive female role models in aviation and aerospace careers as guest speakers
-Builders corner with riveting and 3D printing
-Southwest Airlines will have a booth with activities and giveaways
-Virgin Galactic will have a booth with activities and giveaways
-CSI Aviation will have a medevac aircraft in the medical configuration available for touring
-CSI Aviation will have their Female VP of Flight Operations, a Female Pilot and Female Flight Nurse standing by to answer questions about their operations
-Ramp full of planes, military vehicles and cool cars
-Lots of Fun!

Land of Enchantment Fly-In Info
Since WAI’s first annual international Girls in Aviation Day in 2015, the annual WAI event has grown every year since its first gathering of 32 events and 3,200 participants. In 2019, GIAD met more than 20,000 attendees participating in 119 events in 18 countries. In 2020, WAI launched the Aviation for Girls App, and thousands of girls from nearly 60 countries participated throughout the year.
